Nylatron GSM ( Pa 6 G + Mos 2)
General:
Polymer obtained by polymerisation of caprolactam directly into the mold with the addition of molybdenum bisulfide (MOS2). With a higher charge of the PA6 G MOS2, the GSm version increases its mechanical properties.
Technical features:
- Resistance to wear better than the PA 6 G + MOS2 standard
- Tensile and compressive strength
- Higher impact resistance of the PA 6 G + MOS2 standard
- High fatigue resistance
- Self-lubricating with low friction coefficient
- Resistance to aging, atmospheric agents and gas temperatures
- High mechanical strength, rigidity, toughness and toughness
- High mechanical damping capacity
- Good electrical insulation properties
- Good resistance to high-energy radiation (X-ray gamma-e)
- Good workability
Defects:
Igroscopic though less than PA 6 G
Applications:
Mechanical: for good mechanical properties and the ability to obtain semi-finished products and semi-finished parts of large size is a material widely used for obtaining large diameter gears, pulleys, wheels and anti-wear guides. For the best abrasion resistance, in construction machinery and ground handling is used for gear wheels, guides, bearings, supports, etc.
In the shipbuilding industry, given the best weather resistance, it is used to obtain rollers of sliding, seam, guides, bushes.
Food: it is not used in contact with food
Electrical with varying humidity absorbed varying electrical characteristics; However, is used when mechanical resistances are required
Chemical: good alkali resistance, inorganic compounds and solvents
