PPSU
General:
The material is amorphous and has better impact strength and hydrolysis in relation to the PSU. The operating temperature can reach 170 ° C. Extreme impact resistance remains even after a cycle of heat aging.
Technical features:
- Resists high temperatures
- High impact resistance, even at low temperatures
- Resistance to hydrolysis and vapor
- Traction, bending and module mechanical resistances
- Chemical resistances
- Electrical properties
- transparent
Defects:
Cost above the average of technopolymer. It does not withstand ultraviolet rays so it is not suitable for outdoor applications
Applications:
Mechanical: it is used for particulars that need to work both at low and high temperatures such as bearings, supports etc.
Electrical: excellent insulation power and dielectric properties make it irreplaceable in many applications such as clamps, coils, insulators
Chemical: the use is ideal given the high chemical and thermal resistance. Good chemical resistance to mineral acids, alkalis and saline solutions. The PSU is attacked by esters, chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons
Food: not suitable for food contact
