VETRONITE LG11
General:
Vetronite G10 (or epoxy glass or Fiberglass) is a composite material made of glass fibers arranged orthogonally between two layers in an epoxy matrix
The G10 and G11 gaskets differ in their temperature range, depending on the type of resin used in the production of the material.
The G10 type Vetronite has a 130 ° B thermal class, while the G11 type is more suitable for high temperatures, it has a thermal class F 155 ° C.
Technical features:
- Excellent resistance to mechanical stress
- Dimensional stability over time in machining of machine tools.
- Good resistance to short-term thermal swings but not long-term, as the contained resins tend to carbonize.
- Flame resistant and self-extinguishing
Defects:
The maximum working temperature of the windscreen is lower than that of many other electronic components
Applications:
Vetronite, being an excellent insulator, is used to create printed circuit boards on which electronic components will be mounted.
It is present in many home appliance components, in molding plastics as an insulator between die and press plate, used for transformers, supports and panels in the electromechanical field.
