Silicone Draws
General:
The drawing process is a forming process that induces a change in the form of the raw material starting through the plastic deformation due to force forces imposed by equipment and dies.
The drawing always produces long wires or bars, with a circular section or a complex profile with 3 or more sides. Its origins date back to the 11th century and its continuous evolution has led to the progressive reach of the dimensional limits.
Materials:
Depending on the customer’s requirements, different silicone blends can be used:
Silicone suitable for food contact with FDA certifications
Platinum silicone
Silicone for high temperatures
(For the characteristics of the individual materials, see the section on “rubber sheets and carpets” from the main menu)
According to the application, the compounds can be extruded in hardness ranging from 20 sh to 95 sh A with the possibility of special pigmentation.
Formats:
In addition to the classic round, square and rectangular sections of various sizes we have many matrices and, on request, we can create custom profiles.
